Joining the committee in a voluntary capacity in 2018, Sheridan undertook the role of Chair in 2019. She is a Proud Gippslandian who believes a strong local business economy is the key to a strong local community. A 4th generation local whose family have owned and been involved in local businesses since the early 1900’s, Sheridan understands the contribution that local business has in Gippsland. She is passionate about locals supporting and empowering each other.
Representing category sponsor AGL Loy Yang, Graeme has been involved in the Awards since 2010 and is proud to be involved in promoting Gippsland’s leading businesses. As GBA Chair from 2011-2018, Graeme undertook several key initiatives including modernising and rebranding the awards.
Joining the Committee as a sponsor representative in 2016, Janine is continuing in a voluntary capacity within her role as Tourism Project Manager of Destination Gippsland. Janine is passionate about the value that businesses contribute to the Gippsland region, and through their participation in the award process are able to showcase their unique skills and products to the wider community.
Involved in establishing the awards in 1997, Leo has undertaken the role of voluntary secretary for the past 20 years. Currently lecturing in marketing and management, Leo is also a business mentor and has been a freelance writer for over 20 years, where he first began writing about Gippsland based businesses.
Pat joined the Gippsland Awards Committee in 2002 and has played a pivotal role over the past 15 years developing relationships with sponsors, managing administration, coordinating judging, liaising with media and organising the finalist’s breakfast and awards evening.
Joining the Committee in 2014 as a sponsor representative. Patricia has undertaken the role of Treasurer and currently participates on the Committee in an independent capacity.
Representing GBA founding media partner WIN Television, Stephen joined the committee at the end of 2009. Stephen has served as a general committee member in this time, contributing his expertise in marketing whilst encouraging his large Gippsland business network to participate in the awards.
Kelly, who represents both Destination Gippsland and Gippsland Solar, joined the committee this year to assist with raising the profile of the awards among the Gippsland business community via social media and enhances communication with nominees.
Joining the Committee in 2017 as a representative of WIN Television, Stephen has been attending GBA events for the past seven years. He looks forward to using his Gippsland knowledge and marketing acumen to make a valuable contribution to the Committee.
Recognising the important role the awards play in our local business community, Leonie provides voluntary administrative support to the Gippsland Business Awards committee, including liaison with sponsors and co-ordination of events.
Kirstyn joined the awards in 2018 through her business Gippsland Event Management to provide administrative support and event management to the Gippsland Business Awards committee, including liaison with sponsors and organising the finalist’s breakfast and awards gala.
Lynne joined the committee in a voluntary capacity in 2018. As a proud Gippslander, she feels privileged to be part of the initiative which acknowledges the important role of business in building the region and showcases their achievements in a positive way.
